The Big Picture Drop

Toilet paper. Paper towels. Pinatas. Big wooden sticks. This isn’t a word association quiz. It’s how the Mountain Workshops celebrated the final card drop of the week. With a deep ocean of blue overhead – a welcome relief after a week of rain – participants hurried to headquarters on Saturday to plug their final pictures into the system by the noon deadline.

For now, all they got was free candy after a piñata was smashed. But the final presentations on Saturday night will reward them with the week’s best photojournalism.
